Abot Piggott
Piggott’s history dates back to the early 19th century when settlers began moving into the region. The town was originally established as a stop along the St. Louis-San Francisco Railway, commonly known as the Frisco Railroad, in the late 19th century. This transportation link played a crucial role in the town’s growth.
The town is named after its founder, James A. Piggott, a prominent railroad executive and one of the town’s early landowners. It was officially incorporated in 1888.
